This year marked our second year producing our own maple syrup. In 2017 we produced slightly less than 2 gallons. This year we tapped twice as many trees. Unfortunately, Mother Nature didn’t cooperate and a warm snap ruined 60+ gallons of sap, ending our season early. We ended up, once again, with about 2 gallons of finished syrup. At any rate, the process is fun and a lot of hard work. Eventually we hope to produce enough syrup to sell.
